  • The NASA/DESGC Graduate Fellowships for the academic year 2019-2020 is now open for applicants. These awards provide stipends of $27,600 to highly qualified graduate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics who are currently attending a DESGC member institution. Stipends are for one full year, and all recipients of these awards must be US Citizens.

  • Boehringer Ingelheim
    Position: Summer Intern - Process Science
    Location: Fremont, CA
    Brief Description: As an Intern, you will perform projects related to the sciences, biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, or related sciences to study various aspects of bioprocessing. The scientists at Boehringer Ingelheim, Fremont California develop manufacturing processes for protein-based drugs. We are seeking scientists and engineers with a biology, protein chemistry, cell culture, fermentation or molecular biology background to join our team for the summer. The intern will also be expected to present analysis and results from experiments orally to a small group of scientists as frequently as a weekly basis and at conclusion of the internship. There are positions in analytical development, purification development, and cell culture development.

Graduate fellowships in the amount of $27,600 are awarded annually to qualified graduate students in the STEM fields who will be attending a DESGC member institution in 2018-2019. Minority and women candidates are encouraged to apply. Stipends are for one year (September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019) and open to US citizen. Applications are due by 3/16/2018.
