BY AUTOMOBILE
Approaching from the North:
Exit #1B from I-95 (on Rt. 896 North). Stay on Rt. 896 past the University's Bob Carpenter Sports Center and Ice Arena and over a small bridge. At the intersection of Park Ave, turn right. Turn left at the next intersection onto Academy Street. You will find a visitor's parking lot on your right. Colburn Lab is at the corner of Academy and Lovett Streets.
Approaching from the South:
Exit #109B from I-95 (Rt. 279). Proceed on Rt. 279 toward Newark; the road number changes to Rt. 2 (Elkton Road) when you enter Delaware. Stay on Elkton Road until it dead-ends and you must bear right onto Delaware Ave. At the intersection of Academy Street, turn right. Through the next stop sign at Lovett St., you will find a visitor's parking lot on the left-hand side Academy Street. Colburn Lab is at the corner of Academy and Lovett Streets.

Philadelphia International Airport is approximately 40 miles northeast from Newark and is the most convenient air terminal, with many flights to and from all major cities. Van shuttle service is available from the airport to the University campus at a cost of approximately $30.00. Call the Delaware Express Shuttle at 1-800-648-5466 to make advance reservations.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport, 60 miles southwest from Newark, is another option. However, shuttle transportation between Baltimore and Newark is expensive making renting a car a better choice if using this airport.
BY TRAIN
The train station is located at Front and French streets in Wilmington, Delaware. There is good service to New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. Wilmington is a stop for nearly all Amtrak metroliners. Delaware Area Regional Transportation (DART) buses transport passengers between Wilmington and Newark.
