My research project involves studying the process of refolding proteins from inclusion bodies using a highly aggregate-prone anti-fluorescein single-chain antibody (scFV), “4M5.3”. The main goal of my project is to explore strategies using chemical chaotropes and hydrostatic pressure that will deliver higher active yields of protein from bacterial inclusion bodies.
